Certification Conformance Statement

Organization Name: Questionmark
Product or Implementation: Questionmark Perception
Date Certified: 2009-09-16
Specification(s) Certified Against: AssessmentResult.xsd
Package(s): 2004-08-02 (2_3)
Use of specification: Questionmark's Perception Server implements the HR-XML Consortium's AssessmentResult.xsd with no extensions, using the SOAP 1.1 transport protocol.

With the support of HR-XML, they've added into the standard Perception version 4 and version 5 software a method called GetHRXMLAssessmentResult to QMWISe, which allows exporting of results from Perception assessments into HR-XML format. The method takes, as a parameter, a single result ID, and returns that result in HR-XML. Other QMWISe methods allow customers to get a list of results and choose which one to then call with GetHRXMLAssessmentResult.

About the Product: Questionmark Perception is an assessment management system that lets you create, deliver and report on tests, surveys, quizzes and exams. Perception includes a web services interface called QMWISe which allows web service interaction with the Perception repository from other programs. QMWISe has over 70 methods that allow reading and writing assessment, result, participant and other data into and out of the repository.

Questionmark Perception enables multiple authors to work together in a distributed learning environment with seamless connections to existing systems and infrastructure. Wizard-based authoring enables creation of 22 different types of questions ranging from commonly used question types such as multiple choice, Likert scale, fill-in-the-blank and essay - to innovative question types such as drag-and-drop, spoken response, and interactive questions that integrate Adobe Flash and Adobe Captivate simulations. Questions can be stored by topic or learning objective and organized in surveys, quizzes, tests or exams.

Perception delivers assessments online to standard or secure web browsers and to PDAs. Perception also enables printing and scanning of assessments, centralizing management of both online and paper-delivered tests. Assessment delivery options allow questions and choices to be shuffled, and for participants to receive helpful feedback at item, topic, or assessment level. Answers are scored and saved to a database for analysis and reporting. Perception's reporting system includes 12 standard reports that enable administrators to analyze and communicate results. Reports include item and test analysis, question statistics, gap analysis, coaching, survey analysis and many more.

Perception applications include pre- and post-course tests, practice quizzes, course evaluations and certification exams. Options include a secure browser, proctoring security and test center management. The software can be licensed or used as a hosted solution.
